In the action entitled “Periphora”, the animated straw bale returns, analyzed into its dual nature, the unique and the home. The house is packaged nature: it is simultaneously structural material, surplus food, and food itself. The unique one, carrying the structure of its metabolism, acquires an apparent self-sufficiency. Everything is here: me and this. But this “here” is constantly another here. If one could imagine bread, a laptop, and a roof being together, portable, one would then necessarily turn one’s attention to this mutating “here.” The field, the harbor, the bridge, the road and the arcade are the traces of the retreating crowd, as the only one, misled, passes by.
