CONSTRUCTION – DEMOLITION

In the action titled “Construction-Deconstruction,” an animated hay bale rises in the middle of a wheat field, having already been assembled from the remains of the harvest. The straw bale, standing upright, is confronted by the concrete bulk of a silo at the bottom of the plain. The solid modernist figure of the silo, symbol of industrialized production, is momentarily hidden by the ephemeral volume of the straw bale, which then inversely degrades and returns to the straw carpet of the earth. The animated straw bale is the singularity that rises to return to the field of its reproduction.
