In the Zemeno area of Parnassos on the Livadia-Arachova road, on a 9,000 sq m plot of land, a “classic luxury” hotel with 88 beds is being built with a total construction area of 1,800 sq m. The area has very strong mountainous landscape characteristics, being a passage between two forested mountain ranges with a strong presence. The complex is arranged linearly parallel to the road in a wedge-shaped mediation between the two mountain ranges. Alternating corridors and rows of rooms in parallel transposition, according to the elevation curves is the syntactic model of the proposal. The simple typology of the complex produces an architectural physiognomy between a transformed Cycladic settlement and a factory. The study raises the issue of continuity with the problematic integration into the landscape of Greek architecture during the 60s and 70s.
